This work is not for everyone. The people who do best with me are the ones who know deep down that they can’t keep going the way they are, and who are ready to take an honest look inside.
Who Thrives in This Work
- People who’ve tried to quit junk food many times, know what their “problem foods” are, and also know the kinds of foods they’d rather be eating.
- Those with health issues linked to diet (diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, joint pain) who want real change before things get worse.
- People with some mindfulness experience: you don’t need to sit for hours in meditation, but if you can follow your breath for a few minutes, you have the capacity to do this work.
- People who’ve tried other recovery programs (12 Steps, therapy, ARC, Brain Over Binge, SMART, etc.) and found they weren’t the right fit. Often these people already see patterns in themselves, but need help bringing the pieces together.
- Independent, self-led types who want to stay in the driver’s seat. If you’ve felt frustrated with therapists or programs that act like they have all the answers, you’ll likely resonate with my approach.
Who I Love to Work With
- People who want to shift toward Whole Food Plant-Based eating (or at least more whole, less processed food).
- Curious, growth-oriented people who love learning and expanding their capacity.
- Adventurous spirits who get energy from new experiences and perspectives.
My role is to guide, not to carry.
I’ve walked this path myself, through the struggle with junk food addiction and into recovery. Because of that, I can point out the turns and the traps. I know the terrain, and I can offer practices and perspectives that make recovery easier.
At the same time, this is your journey.
I don’t hand you a fixed path or drag you forward. I hold a grounded, calming presence that helps you feel safe enough to explore what’s happening inside.
I notice patterns, invite you to meet your cravings and your parts with more compassion, and support you in discovering your own way forward.
I’m not a therapist, and I’m not here to “fix” you (because you’re not broken). I’m here as someone who’s been through it, who knows the inner landscape of recovery, and who can offer steady guidance while you reclaim your own authority.
If that feels like the kind of support you’re looking for, we may be a great fit.
Who I Don’t Work With
- If you have a current or past diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa: this life-threatening condition requires clinical treatment beyond my scope.
- If you’re looking for a quick fix: junk food addiction develops over decades, and there is no weekend workshop or single tool that will undo it. This is gradual work.
